PRIVACY STATEMENT

The LDS Matchmaker®, Latter Day Matchmaker & Match Making Saints collectively (LDM)

 

The Latter-day Matchmaker (“LDM”) respects your privacy and has developed this Privacy Statement (“Privacy Statement”) to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your personal information. Capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in LDM’s Terms of Service.

 

  1. Information LDM Collects

    The types of information that LDM collects fall into two general categories: personally identifiable information (“PII”) and non-personally identifiable information (“non-PII”). PII consists of information that can be used to identify you as an individual, while non-PII consists of aggregated data or information that does not reveal your identity.
     

  2. How LDM Collects Information

    a. Information About You. When you register for or subscribe to any of LDM’s services, LDM collects information you voluntarily provide.

    b. Purchase Information. To process purchases, LDM may collect your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and payment information. This information is used primarily to process transactions and provide requested services.

    c. Emails, Telephone Calls, and Text Messages. LDM requires an email address and phone number when you register. LDM may use your email for transactional purposes (such as confirmations, renewals, and match notifications) and promotional purposes (such as new services, events, or special offers). LDM may also contact you by telephone or text message, including to any wireless number you provide, in connection with LDM’s services. You may opt out of promotional communications as described below.
     

  3. How LDM Uses Information


    a. LDM may use information it collects to provide requested services, manage accounts, provide customer support, communicate with you about services or offerings, administer contests or promotions, enforce LDM’s Terms of Service, operate its business, and perform functions disclosed at the time of collection.


    b. Disclosure Required by Law. LDM may disclose information when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.


    c. Disclosure to Trusted Third Parties. LDM may share non-PII with third parties. PII may be shared with service providers performing functions on LDM’s behalf under confidentiality obligations. From time to time, LDM may share limited PII (such as email addresses) with carefully selected partners offering products or services LDM believes may be of interest, subject to opt-out rights.

    d. Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, PII may be transferred as part of the transaction. Users will be notified of any material changes to data use.
     

  4. SMS Privacy and Data Usage Restrictions

    Latter-day Matchmaker respects your privacy. Mobile information, including phone numbers, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of personal information expressly exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. SMS opt-in information is used solely to provide requested services and communications and will not be shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to any third parties.
     

  5. Age Restrictions

    LDM does not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), any information received from users believed to be under 13 will be promptly deleted.
     

  6. Security

    LDM employs reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology is used where appropriate. LDM does not store credit card information. While LDM takes reasonable steps to protect data, no internet transmission is completely secure.
     

  7. Choice / Opt-Out

    You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by submitting a written request specifying your preferences to:

  8. Updating Your Information

    To update or delete personal information previously submitted, you may submit a written request to the address above. LDM may retain certain information for legal, record-keeping, or dispute-resolution purposes.
     

  9. Acceptance of Privacy Statement

    By using LDM’s website or services, you acknowledge and accept this Privacy Statement and the Terms of Service. LDM reserves the right to modify this Privacy Statement at any time. Continued use following posted changes constitutes acceptance.
