Latter-Day Matchmaker is looking for someone amazing to join our team! 

 

This part-time Matchmaker position will be located in our Draper, Utah office. 

 

Hours are: 

Monday through Thursday 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. + some Friday daytime and occasional Saturday hours.

 

As a Matchmaker, you will:

  • Conduct detailed interviews with clients to discuss personal preferences, past relationships, must haves and deal breakers.

  • Act as personal dating concierge by hand-selecting, vetting potential matches for clients, and setting up fun, interactive dates.

  • Lead client programs by providing excellent customer service and dating expertise throughout the matchmaking process.

  • Select potential matches from TLM’s database, your personal network, and at targeted events as well as collaborating with other team members.

  • Gather and provide post-date feedback for your clients to be effective in creating a lasting relationship.

  • Serve as a role model for how to pursue and sustain a healthy romantic relationship and to effectively resolve conflict.

  • Provide instruction for clients and persuasive encouragement to try new techniques to generate dates, including Internet dating sites.

  • Coach clients and assist in the process of creating and launching an online dating profile.

  • Confidently approach difficult topics with clients relating to appearance, photographs, online dating profile, style, wardrobe and personal characteristics, which may be barriers to successful dating.

  • Encourage clients to persistently achieve their goals and continue to engage in services.

  • Strategize, communicate, problem-solve and coordinate client appointments to accommodate client needs with the TLM team.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter with goal-oriented personality.

  • Skilled in developing rapport with a wide variety of people.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills.

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.

  • Enthusiastic and energetic about helping people develop healthy, happy relationships.

  • Self-motivated to stay in communication with clients and address their individual circumstance and show intuition about when to collaborate with management on difficult or ambiguous situations.

  • Ability to feel comfortable working with a wide range of ages, ethnicities, cultural perspectives and dating preferences.

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Google docs, and Excel + the ability to learn new systems.

  • Ability to demonstrate confidence, reliability and the capacity to gain and keep the trust of others in sensitive situations as well as  insightful understanding and support of the Latter-day Saint singles community, are also essential for this role.
