FAQs for Latter Day Matchmaker
FREE Dating App
We’re excited to roll out a major update to our dating app in January. Below are answers to the most common questions we’ve received.
Why is the app name changing?
Our app will be renamed Latter Day Matchmaker to better reflect our mission and brand. While the name is changing, the app you know and your account remain the same.
Will the app still be free?
Yes! The app will remain free to use. Free monthly speed dating events will continue, with optional premium features available in the future.
How will matching work now?
Instead of searching through profiles, you’ll be automatically shown matches based on your preferences and filters. This allows for a more streamlined, modern experience focused on quality connections.
Will I still be able to message people?
Yes—but messaging will now require a mutual match, similar to most modern dating apps. This helps ensure more intentional and meaningful conversations.
What happens to my existing messages?
-
Conversations with activity within the last 60 days prior to the update will remain visible.
-
Conversations inactive for more than 60 days will not carry over.
-
If you want to keep a conversation, we recommend sending a reply before the update goes live.
Do I need to create a new account or re-download the app?
No. Your account will update automatically through the app store once the new version is released.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support and feedback. This update is designed to make connecting easier, cleaner, and more intentional—and we’re excited to help even more people find meaningful relationships in 2026 and beyond.
